Steve Vera, President of Preferred Prosthetics, has more than 30 years of experience in helping amputees get back to doing what they love. We are proud to have patient relationships lasting throughout those many years here in the Valley. He started helping in the family business at the age of 12 fabricating orthotic and prosthetic devices. He took over the fabrication business for a few years before realizing patient care was where his heart was and then completed his education and certification.
Steve has worked with his father Dave Vera Sr. throughout his career and in 2013 took over D&R Orthotics & Prosthetics due to Dave’s health. But after 50 years, Dave is still working on a consultation basis and often seen at both offices lending a hand.
We are based on a family business, and we treat each client as such. We treat you as we would like to be treated. You are not just a number, not just a referral, you will be treated with the intention that we are your provider of “care” for life, however simple or complex your case may be.
